Xbox 360 Elite?

Okay…first off does the Xbox 360 Elite have an HD DVD movie player built into it like the PS3 and Blue-Ray? Second, is there some sort of special deal or offer like trading in your Xbox 360 console? Finally is the major difference between premium and elite the hardrive amount, HDMI cable and black coating? I don’t think It’s worth it unless it has HD DVD movie player, but give me your oppinion if you want.

Yes, those are the only differences between the two. Hard drive size, HDMI and color. Microsoft appears to be staying out of the HD/Blu Ray debate for now and is not willing to commit to either one as an internal drive. Actually, I think that’s smart. As someone who was around when Sony developed a proprietary video tape format called Betamax. Betamax was superior to VHS in both video and audio. As a kid, my family bought a Betamax player instead of a VHS. Soon after, Sony lost the battle and Betamax was no more. The Betamax player we had was worthless and we had to buy a VHS. The HD/Blu Ray debate just reminds me too much of that. It could be totally different this time and Blue Ray wins out, but I am not willing to commit until one is the winner, and I think Microsoft is smart to hold off and see what happens. So, for now they have the external drive you can buy.

No special deal that I know of.
