how do i find out if any items i bought at a delinquent storage unit auction are stolen?
somebody got behind on storage unit renral and i bought it at auction. How do i find oit if the rolex watch is stolen?

The serial number is found between the lugs where the band attaches so you might have to take it to a jeweler.
To check for a fake Rolex:
If the case back is glass (you can see the insides) the watch is fake.
Unscrew the crown (turn the knob on the right side CCW), and wind the watch about 40 turns (CW). Pull the crown out all the way (two clicks), and set the time to exactly the same as the time on your mobile phone (with some playing with it, you can get the second hand to start at 12 when the minuet changes on your phone).
If the second hand does not stop when you pull the crown all the way, the watch is a fake.
Leave the wound, and properly set watch setting on a desk for about 24 hours. If the watch stops then it is fake or in need of repair. A real properly serviced Rolex will run for 40 hours. If the Rolex is old then 30 hours.
If the watch is still running then look at it when the minuet changes on your mobile phone. If the watch is off my more than a few seconds, then it again is fake or needs repair.
My Rolex will gain about two seconds a day.
Also if the watch has any gold on it, check the edges. The gold will wear off a fake, not a real Rolex. A real Rolex is made with solid gold, not plated on gold.
The band on a Rolex will not have the slightest reaction to a very strong magnet. A fake will be attracted to the magnet.
I developed the above tests myself. All the other tests I have seen on the internet are pretty much out of date. The fake Rolex trade has come a long way. Many people are deceived.
