Refurbished Ps3 Console
Should I buy a refurbished 40gb PS3?
Lately, I’ve been wanting to get a PS3. My three options to consider right now are the 120gb PS3 slim, 250gb PS3 slim, and a refurbished 40gb PS3 from my local Frys Electronics.
I want to buy the refurb 40gb only because of its slick look. If I get any console, my dad wants me to get 250gb of memory, so I’m left either with the 250gb PS3 or upgrading the sata hard drive in the refurb.
I need info only on the refurb.
1) Have you ever purchased a refurbished PS3?
2) Has it ever failed on you?
3) If I cant purchase or shouldn’t purchase the refurb, is there any way to make the slim as shiny as the fat model? Thanks.
p.s.
It only comes with a 90 day replacement only warranty. Also, would I be able to use psn since its a refurb?
1) I’ve purchased a refurbished PS3 a while ago
2) It’s been running fine since i purchased it. You can normally trust the people that fix it to do a good job so that it doesn’t break again.
3) I think it’s only possible to buy different cases for the big ps3’s, but alternative cases normally cost a fair amount of money. Having a slick look isn’t always good anyway, dirt and scratches show up very easily on the slick surface ps3.
