How do I transfer my PS2 game data on a third party PS2 memory card to a PS3 system?

I don’t have an official licensed Sony memory card and I’m not sure the Sony memory card adapter for the PS3 would work for my 16MB MAX memory card. Help?

Ya my friend had the same problem. We both have PS3s and my data transferred just fine, but his didn’t because he has a 16MB card. We could not get it to work, probably because it is not a standard size memory card.

He is going to use his old PS2 to transfer the memory from his 16MB card onto a regular 8 MB card. Then use the 8MB card and the adapter to put it on the PS3.

If you don’t have a 8MB card, I would either borrow one from a friend or go buy a used one somewhere that allows you to return it. That way after you get the files onto your PS3 you can just return the PS2 memory card. I know GameStop allows you to return accessories within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. (I work there)
