PS3 guitar hero controller for rock band?
I have a guitar hero 3 controller for my PS3 and i also have rock band for the PS3
I’ve heard that there is a special adaptor that you need to buy in order to connect the guitar hero controller with the rock band game on your PS3
Is this true? And if it is where can I buy one?
From what I’ve been reading at various places about the web, the Guitar Hero III controller is not currently compatible with Rock Band. This only applies to the PS3, the one for Xbox 360 works fine. Harmonix (makers of the first few Guitar Hero games as well as Rock Band) was going to release a patch to fix that problem in December, but that patch never came out because apparently Activision (makers of Guitar Hero III) objected–and continues to object–to it. It made no sense to me, and apparently lawyers are involved now, so it could be quite some time before that issue is sorted out. On the up side, there are supposed to be single guitars coming out–made by a company called Nyko–this March.
