How does the P90X work exactly?
I got the P90X PDF file and was looking at all the workouts.
The workout for week-1 Day-1 is Chest and Back which includes a list of exercises from 1-12. My question is, is each exercise a few reps or does it include set, for example if number 1 is a push-up and 2 a pull-up, is it like 3-sets of 10 reps of push-up for number 1 and then 2-sets of 3-reps for number 2. Or is each number a definite set of one-time reps and then the cycle repeats?
Some exercises are max reps you can put out. Most of the body weight moves are like this, such as the push-ups and pull ups.
The weighted moves have targeted rep counts depending on what your goals are. Building size should be doing 8-10 reps per set. Building lean muscle aims for 12-15 reps per set.
He will specify what you’re aiming for. Some of the videos move straight down the list top to bottom. Some of the workouts do supersets of 4 moves and then repeats them. And some move straight down the list and then make you do the whole thing over! Its crazy, but it works!
