I bought a 32gb iPhone 4 today, and I was wondering if it is better for the battery to turn it off at night?
I had a second generation iPod touch before, and it took quite a bit of the battery to turn it on and off at night, so I was wondering if it was the same for my iPhone 4. I will really appreciate your answer, thank you.
Hello! All batteries have a life span. Usually, cell batteries have a life span of 1.5 years. This means if your batteries last for 2 whole days before they get depleted & needed charging when they’re new, after 1.5 years it takes only 1 day now & you’re now low on power. If you let your phone on all the time your battery’s life span gets lesser than turning it off when you go to sleep. If its on all the time, you charge your battery more than its off during night time. The more time you charge your battery, the shorter the battery’s life become. However, if you need to leave your phone on during your sleep, i suggest you leave it on.
